CAUTION:

After operation, always switch off the tool and waituntil the wheel has come to a complete

stop beforeputting the tool down.

Grinding and sanding operation

ALWAYS hold the tool firmly with one hand on

housingand the other on the side handle.Turn the tool

on

andthen apply the wheelor disc to the work piece.

In general, keep the edge of the wheel or disc at an

angleof about 15 degrees to the work piece

surface.During the break-in period with a new wheel, do not workthe grinder in the B

direction or it will cut into the work piece.Once the edge of the wheel has been rounded

offby use, the wheel may be worked in both A and B direction.

Operation with diamond wheel(optional accessory)

CAUTION:

Do not “jam” the wheel or apply excessivepressure. Do not attempt to make an

excessivedepth of cut. Overstressing the wheel increasesthe loading and susceptibility to

twisting or bindingof the wheel in the cut and the possibility ofkickback, wheel breakage and

overheating of themotor may occur.

Do not start the cutting operation in the work piece.Let the wheel reach full speed and

carefully enterinto the cut moving the tool forward over thework piece surface. The wheel

may bind, walk up orkickback if the power tool is started in thework piece.

A diamond wheel shall be operated perpendicularto the material being cut.

Operation with wire cup brush(optional accessory)

CAUTION:

Check operation of brush by running tool with noload,

insuring that no one is in front of or inline withbrush.

Do not use brush that is damaged, or which is outof

balance. Use of damaged brush could

increasepotential for injury from contact with broken

brushwires.

Unplug tool and place it upside down allowing

easyaccess to spindle. Remove any accessories on spindle.

When using brush, avoid applying toomuch pressure which causes over bending of

wires,leading to premature breakage.

Operation with wire wheel brush(optional accessory)

CAUTION:

Check operation of wire wheel brush by runningtool with no load, insuring that no one is in

front ofor in line with the wire wheel brush.

Do not use wire wheel brush that is damaged, orwhich is out of balance. Use of damaged

wirewheel brush could increase potential for injury fromcontact with broken wires.

ALWAYS use guard with wire wheel brushes, assuring diameter of wheel fits inside guard.

Wheelcan shatter during use and guard helps to

reducechances of personal injury.

Unplug tool and place it upside down allowing

easyaccess to spindle. Remove any accessories on

spindle.Thread wire wheel brush onto spindle and

tighten withthe wrenches. When using wire wheel

brush, avoid applying too muchpressure which

causes over bending of wires, leading topremature breakage.
