CAUTION:
•
After operation, always switch off the tool and waituntil the wheel has come to a complete
stop beforeputting the tool down.
Grinding and sanding operation
ALWAYS hold the tool firmly with one hand on
housingand the other on the side handle.Turn the tool
on
andthen apply the wheelor disc to the work piece.
In general, keep the edge of the wheel or disc at an
angleof about 15 degrees to the work piece
surface.During the break-in period with a new wheel, do not workthe grinder in the B
direction or it will cut into the work piece.Once the edge of the wheel has been rounded
offby use, the wheel may be worked in both A and B direction.
Operation with diamond wheel(optional accessory)
CAUTION:
•
Do not “jam” the wheel or apply excessivepressure. Do not attempt to make an
excessivedepth of cut. Overstressing the wheel increasesthe loading and susceptibility to
twisting or bindingof the wheel in the cut and the possibility ofkickback, wheel breakage and
overheating of themotor may occur.
•
Do not start the cutting operation in the work piece.Let the wheel reach full speed and
carefully enterinto the cut moving the tool forward over thework piece surface. The wheel
may bind, walk up orkickback if the power tool is started in thework piece.
•
A diamond wheel shall be operated perpendicularto the material being cut.
Operation with wire cup brush(optional accessory)
CAUTION:
•
Check operation of brush by running tool with noload,
insuring that no one is in front of or inline withbrush.
•
Do not use brush that is damaged, or which is outof
balance. Use of damaged brush could
increasepotential for injury from contact with broken
brushwires.
Unplug tool and place it upside down allowing
easyaccess to spindle. Remove any accessories on spindle.
When using brush, avoid applying toomuch pressure which causes over bending of
wires,leading to premature breakage.
Operation with wire wheel brush(optional accessory)
CAUTION:
•
Check operation of wire wheel brush by runningtool with no load, insuring that no one is in
front ofor in line with the wire wheel brush.
•
Do not use wire wheel brush that is damaged, orwhich is out of balance. Use of damaged
wirewheel brush could increase potential for injury fromcontact with broken wires.
•
ALWAYS use guard with wire wheel brushes,assuring diameter of wheel fits inside guard.
Wheelcan shatter during use and guard helps to
reducechances of personal injury.
