4.2 Safety instructions for installation
ATTENTION
To utilize the unit as exclusive safety device for the door (protection level E) the TST LGB must be
installed at the center of the door frame.
The lower end of the TST LGB must be installed at floor level.
To operate correctly, transmitter and receivers must lie opposite each other without misalign-
ment and they shall not be rotated horizontally or vertically or be twisted in themselves.
For the assembly the profiles can be clamped. Avoid deformations by clamping. Clamping lo-
cations are necessary at least at the ends and spaced every 900 mm.
The light outlet plane is recognized by the protective foil and/or by slightly protruding edges.
The connecting cable must be located at the top.
The receiver side is to be installed on the side that is oriented away and protected from the sun
and/or against direct exposure to sun light.
It must be avoided that ambient light incident on the receiver.
Such as. an opposite-mounted transmitter of an additional light curtain.
The door`s closing edge at the transition between two neighbouring light beams must cover
both. Accordingly, the mask at the door panel must be 170 mm above the door`s edge and at
least 12 mm wide.
After installation, remove the protective plastic foil from the transmitters and receivers.
4.3 Mounting the light curtain
Requirements for assembly

The brackets are intended for use in sectional doors

Align the light curtain exactly along the side of the door panel

Align the brackets as linear as possible

Do not twist, bend or twist the light curtain

Use the supplied mounting accessories (see Table 1: Available mounting accessories )

Alternative screws: thread diameter 4 mm and flat head

Not permissible screws: countersunk screws
