2 Introduction
The RFID reader module ID CPR.M04.P/AB-U2 is designed for reading and writing of common
13.56 MHz Transponders according ISO 14443 Type A and ISO 14443 Type B.
A distinguish character of the reader module ID CPR.M04.P/AB-U2 is the integrated antenna mul-
tiplexer for switching between two external antennas alternating. A special circuit on the multiplexer
in addition with special designed antennas makes it possible to use two proximate located anten-
nas without influencing each other.

antennas. Please ask your supplier about this service.
The internal antenna multiplexer is suitable for the integration into ticket printers, OCR scanner and
other automates if the application requires two different positions for Transponder communication.
The well known FEIG ISO Host-Protocol and the available OBID
®
SDKs allows an easy and fast
integration into individual applications.
