4. Typical Antenna Configuration
The standard configuration of a gate with three-dimensional tag orientation consists of an
ID ISC.ANT1300/680-A antenna including reader and multiplexer and 2 to 4 ID ISC.ANT1300/680-
A antennas without reader and multiplexer. The correct assembly of the different antennas and the
right cable lengths are described below.
4.1. Set-up of the antennas
The antennas have to be set-up as follows. The antenna Type A with reader and multiplexer
mounted in should be mounted in the middle of the gates to avoid unnecessary extension of the
antenna cables. From 4 antennas you often can’t avoid to extend the cable. But use the extension
cables if necessary, only. The following schematics show the various set-ups.
The connections of the antennas to multiplexer are described in Table 4: Connecting the antennas.
