Mark each end tube 6“ (15 cm) in from the inside edge of top rail of pool.  Strap plates are
spaced evenly between these marks.  Mark strap plate locations along drill lines.  Use all
straps provided.

Attach straps to plates (see Fig. 8).

Attach strap plates to tube (see Fig. 9).

DO NOT pre-drill holes

or over-tighten screws.

Fold cover (bubbles in) then pierce hole
through both sides of cover 1“ (2.5 cm) back
from the fold (directly below strap plate on
tube).     Attach cover end of strap to plate (see
Fig. 8). Push threaded plastic screw through
holes in cover and tighten snugly into strap
plate.

Attach cover end of strap to plate (see Fig. 8)
then pierce hole through cover, 1“ (2.5 cm) back
from edge and directly below strap plate on tube.
Push threaded plastic screw through hole in
cover and tighten snugly into strap plate.

Choose the appropriate instructions below for your pool setup.  If you have determined a mid-pool placement, it will be easier if  you move the
cover away from the pool and fold it (bubbles in) on a flat surface.

Do not attach the Surface Rider to the pool in any way.  If this is done you will damage the system and void
the warranty.

With round pools, the ends of the cover should unroll in opposite directions.  With oval or rectangular pools
pull the leading edge of the cover slowly down the pool.  (See Mid-Grip Pull Rope Accessory on page 3.)

The Surface Rider is

designed

to bow (see Fig. 12).  The cover and the reel is supported by the buoyancy

of the water during rolling.
