FEDERAL MODELS PSCE-R, PSCE-Y, AND PSCF-R
I. INSTALLATION.
SAFETY MESSAGE TO INSTALLERS, USERS, AND MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL
Installation, maintenance and disposal of this product must be carried out in accodance with
national codes and standards.
This device should be considered a part of the warning system and not the entir warning
system.
In addition, listed below are some other important safety instructions and precautions you
should follow:

Read and understand all instructions before installing or operating this equipment.
•
After installation, ensure that all screws are properly tightened.
•
After installation, test the sounder to ensure that it is operating properly.
•
After testing is complete; provide a copy of this instruction sheet to all operating personnel.
•
Establish a procedure to routinely check the sounder installation for integrity and proper
operation.
Failure to follow all safety precautions and instructions may result in property damage, serious
injury, or death to you or others.
A. General.
The Models PSCE-R, PSCE-Y, & PSCF-R contain a nine volt piezo alarm, within
a tamperresistant polycarbonate cover.
B. Unpacking.
After unpacking the unit, examine it for damage that may have occurred in
transit. If the equipment has been damaged, do not attempt to install or operate
it, file a claim immediately with the carrier stating the extent of the damage. Care
-
fully check all envelopes, shipping labels and tags before removing or destroying
them.

Installation of the Sounder-Cover.
1. Hold frame over unit to be protected and mark four holes for installation.
2. Drill four 1/4” holes approximately 1-1/4” deep.
3. Place anchors (provided) into mounting holes.
4. Place entire cover assembly over unit to be protected.
5. Remove deactivation pin from back of Sounder-Cover. Horn should sound.
6. Close cover.
The 120dB siren utilized in the sounder-cover is powered by a replaceable
9VDC battery (included).
