6.6 Maintenance every day
6.6.1 Clean the machine
NOTICE!
Perform cleaning work only after the engine has
cooled down and with the engine stopped.
Dirty operating conditions, particularly lubrication oil
and fuel deposits on the cooling fins of the engine and
the cooling air intake opening have an adverse effect
on the cooling of the engine. You should therefore
immediately seal any oil or fuel leaks near fuel tank,
cylinder or cooling air intake and subsequently clean
the cooling fins.
NOTICE!
Do not guide the water jet directly into the cooling air
openings of the recoil starter, into the dry air filter or on
After wet cleaning run the engine warm to evaporate all water
residues and to avoid corrosion.
6.6.2 Check the engine oil level
NOTICE!
Park the machine on level ground so that the engine is
in horizontal position.
For quality and quantity of oil refer to the "table of fuels
and lubricants".
Shut down the engine.
