Crushing and compacting soft to meadium hard rock material is the domain of the
rock crusher drum
. This type of
drum can completely replace mobile breakers up to soil class 6 and thus considerably reduce construction costs.
The
polygonal drum
is very flexible in use, because it is suitable for all types of soil and doesn't even require power
consuming scrapers. Their efficiency is still unbeaten when used for area foundation work and subsequent com-
paction: Where others still excavate, store and compact in layers, the polygonal drum does an all around good
job.

The drive system: Efficient power!
The drive of the BOMAG single drum rollers has consistently by designed for efficiency. The economi-
cal, long-lasting Deutz diesel engines with high pressure fuel injection, turbo charger and intercooler
are the backbone of this concept. The rear axle has a NoSpin differential, i.e an automatic lock up to
100%. Even if one wheel looses ground contact, the other wheel will still have drive power.
