Pre-Operation Checklist
Efficient and safe operation of the machine requires that each Operator reads and understands
operating procedures and all related safety precautions outlined in this section. A pre-operational
checklist is provided for the Operator. It is important for both personal safety and maintaining the
good mechanical condition of the Applicator that this checklist be followed.
Before operating the Applicator, check the following items:

Use only a tractor of adequate power and weight to operate the Applicator. See the

Be sure that the machine is properly attached to the tractor. Be sure that all appropriate
pins and retaining devices are installed.
4.
Inspect all hydraulic lines, hoses, fittings, and couplers for tightness. See
for break-in period recommendations.

Check tires and verify they are inflated to the specified pressure. See

Calibrate the Applicator if at the start of the season or a new applicator rate is being
used.

Check the condition and routing of all fluid hoses and lines. Be sure that all lines are
routed in large arcs. Replace any that are damaged. Re-route those that are rubbed,

Remove all entangled material.

Replace any plugged nozzles or tubes.
