2. Remove side panel cover of each refrigeration section to access the compressor
area
3. Manually flush the valve and piping before and after installing, repairing, or replacing
a valve to remove filings, chips, or other foreign matter. Manual flushing does not
affect valve adjustment. To flush the valve, insert screwdrivers under both sides of
the valve spring guide and lift upwards. (see figure 1 below)
Gasket maintenance
Periodically check the gaskets around the door for punctures or tears. Leaks are indicated
by a streak of frost which forms at the point of gasket failure. Keep the door gaskets clean
and frost free by wiping with a soft cloth.
Auto Defrost of the Refrigeration System
Each machine section will perform a defrost cycle automatically at a time interval that can
be set by the user. Refer to the Operation section of this manual for more details.
Defrosting the chamber
Depending on the room ambient humidity levels, it will be necessary to manually defrost
the chamber interior periodically.
a. Remove all product from the freezer
b. Turn the freezer off and disconnect power from both refrigeration systems.
c. Open the doors and place towels on the chamber floor.
d. Allow the frost/ice to melt and become loose. You may place fans in front of the
chamber to speed the process.
e. Remove the ice and water.
f. Dry the chamber.
g. Clean the interior with non-abrasive, non-chlorine detergent.
h. Rinse with clean water.
i. Connect the refrigeration systems to power and set the displays to Auto.
j. Allow the freezer to run overnight before reloading the product.
