6.1.1 Description and setting of the ring roller
The roller with wheels consisting of ring segments is attached to the frame. There is a row of leveller
blades in front of the roller. The height as well as angle of the blades can be adjusted. The correct setting of
the blades is essential for the correct function of the roller. The setting of the blades must be first tested
and adjusted under factual conditions.

Possibilities for setting front leveller blades
1. Front leveller blades located in front of the roller wheels throw clods directly under the wheels that
crush them.
2. Front leveller blades located between the roller wheels throw soil inside the wheels. Clods of soil are
thus partially crushed by the wheels and partially crushed inside the wheels. With this setting, the surface is
covered with soft soil after work.
