Adjusting Chain Tension

Pusher chain adjustment bolt is located behind shield
(Item 1)

Lift up on the center of the pusher chain. There should be
approximately four inches of upward slack (Item 1)

. If there is more than four inches of slack,

adjust tension as needed. (See “Adjusting Chain
Tension” on page 56.)

Tighten the adjustment bolt (Item 2)

(clockwise) until there is approximately four inches of
upward slack in the center of the chain. Tighten jam nut.

NOTE: If no more adjustment is possible, shorten

pusher chain by removing one link. (See
“Shortening The Pusher Chain” on page 57.)

AVOID INJURY OR DEATH

Before you leave the operator’s position:
•

Always park on a flat level surface.

•

Place all controls in NEUTRAL.

•

Engage the park brake.

•

Stop the engine and remove the key.

•

Wait for all moving parts to stop.
