Shortening The Pusher Chain

Figure 50

Loosen the jam nut (Item 1) 

[Figure 50]

.

Loosen the adjustment bolt (Item 2) 

[Figure 50]

 until

there is enough slack in the pusher chain to remove one
link.

Figure 51

Remove connecting link (Item 1) then remove first chain
link (Item 2) 

[Figure 51]

 behind the connecting link.

Re-install connecting link and adjust pusher chain until
there is approximately four inches of upward slack.

Tighten jam nut.

Repeat procedure for second pusher chain.

Move to the operator’s position, start the engine and
engage tractor’s auxiliary hydraulics.

Operate the pusher.

When pusher (Item 1) is returned forward, verify that both
sides of the pusher contact the stops (Item 2)

. Adjust as needed until pusher contacts stops evenly.

AVOID INJURY OR DEATH

Before you leave the operator’s position:
•

Always park on a flat level surface.

•

Place all controls in NEUTRAL.

•

Engage the park brake.

•

Stop the engine and remove the key.

•

Wait for all moving parts to stop.
