The Power and Media LED lights located on the front of the printer can tell you a lot about what is
happening inside the printer. To accurately interpret what it means when these lights are on, off, or
flashing, please refer to the following table.

Flashing
Indicates an error with the media (cartridge or cards). Refer to the
following suggestions:
-The cards or cartridge have run out. Replace as necessary.
-Check that cards and cartridge are properly installed in the
printer. Also check that cards are pushed all the way into the
printer's Input Hopper.
-Check that the proper cartridge type is installed according to the
cartridge type option selected in the printer driver.
-Check for a cartridge jam or card jam.
-The Cartridge Sensor may need to be recalibrated.
-Are you using a cartridge other than one sold specifically for use
with your printer? Remember, the printer takes highly specialized
cartridges.
-If your printer has a magnetic encoding module installed and you
are attempting to encode magnetic information onto a card while
printing, a flashing Media LED can also indicate an encoding mis-
verify. If information is not encoded properly or encoded onto a
bad magnetic stripe, the printer is unable to verify the encoded
data. When this happens, the printer will eject the card before
printing begins and the Media LED will begin flashing. Press the
Media button to resume encoding and printing with a new card.

and press the Power button if you would like to turn the printer
