This option enables customization of the Character Data Parity used to encode the magnetic data
on the currently selected track.
The default ISO Standard selections for this option are:
Track 1 - ODD
Track 2 - ODD
Track 3 - ODD
LRC Generation
This option enables customization of the LRC Generation Mode used to encode the magnetic data
on the currently selected track.
The default ISO Standard selections for this option are:

Track 2 - EVEN
Track 3 - EVEN
Verification
This option instructs the printer to verify that all magnetic data has been correctly encoded on each
card. If the
Auto Eject 1st Error
option is selected, the printer will automatically eject a card
containing magnetic data that cannot be verified. Note, however, that only the first misverified card
will be automatically ejected. If a second consecutive card cannot be verified, the printer will signal
an error and go into manual eject mode. This is done so that if, for example, you have loaded cards
with the wrong type of magnetic stripe, the printer will not automatically feed and eject your entire
card supply. The auto eject option is the most direct means of dealing with misverified cards, but
may be undesirable if batch printing since misverified blank cards are ejected into the same stack
as verified printed cards. For this reason, a
Manual Eject Each Error
option is also provided.
When this option is selected, the printer will signal an error communicating the magnetic data could
not be verified. When this occurs, press the appropriate softkey to manually eject the misverified
card and set it aside from the verified cards.
With either of these options, you can specify the number of times you would like the printer to retry
its verification pass. A range of 1-5 retries can be selected. This option is helpful since magnetic
stripe verification can sometimes require more than a single pass.
Shift Data Left
The Shift Data Left option is applied to all tracks when selected. This option shifts the recorded
magnetic data to the left-hand side of the card's magnetic stripe. This is useful in situations that
require cards to be readable with insert type readers that may not be able to read the right-hand
side of the card.
ISO Track Locations
The magnetic encoding module encodes onto tracks in accordance with an ISO 7811-2 magnetic
stripe. Refer to the following diagram for track locations:
