Note: To prolong the life of the sensor and to ensure proper
readings, unplug the detector, vacuum the ventilation slots
on the detector, using the upholstery attachment on your
vacuum every 3 months
Calibration Certificate
If you are a licensed radon measurement professional using
this device for home inspections, etc., the U.S. EPA recommends
a calibration and background check be performed annually. To
request an annual calibration:
•
Contact FSPI at 800-748-0298 or 616-530-6540 to request
a FE# (factory evaluation authorization number). At that time,
please be prepared to pay with a credit card. Units received
without FE# will be returned to sender, freight collect.
•
Package the detector carefully to ensure that no damage occurs
during shipment. Write the FE# you received on the outside of the
package near the address label. Do not include the power supply.
•
Send the unit to Family Safety Products, Inc. 2879 Remico St. SW,
Grandville, MI 49418, freight prepaid. The fee for factory evaluation
is $35. Factory evaluation time is approximately two weeks. Family
Safety Products, Inc. will send the unit back, freight prepaid
(additional freight charges may apply to shipments outside the U.S.).

Factory Evaluation
Manufacturer recommends a biennial factory evaluation of this
device to recertify that the device meets factory minimum standards.

device. A homeowner requesting a periodic calibration must
