CMOS Battery Replacement
If you notice that the system date and time often reset to the factory date (older date and
time) and need to adjust when the POS terminal is powered off and on, the battery is
probably starting to fail and should be replaced.
CAUTION
ALL BATTERY SERVICING OR REPLACEMENT
MUST BE PERFORMED BY A QUALIFIED SERVICE TECHNICIAN.
RISK OF EXPLOSION IF BATTERY IS REPLACED
BY AN INCORRECT TYPE OR INCORRECT POLARITY
DISPOSE OF USED BATTERIES ACCORDING
TO THE INSTRUCTIONS/REGULATIONS OF LOCAL AUTHORITY
Before Replacement:
1. Make sure the POS terminal is power off and the Power Cord is unplugged.
2. The Main Board should be in a stable state and place to a stable location.
3. Make Sure the Main Board is not connected to any other power source or device that
may transmit electricity to the Main Board.
4. Use only the same model and type of CMOS Battery.
CMOS Battery of Main Board
1. Remove the CMOS Battery from
battery holder
2. Place the new battery into the
holder, with the smooth, flat side of
the battery on the top.
Note:
Place the battery with correct polarity.
