Before connecting the mixing desk, switch it off and also switch off all the other devices which are to
be connected to it, and disconnect them from the power supply (pull the mains plug out of the socket).
Proceed in the same way when changing the wiring. Use only suitable connection cables for this. The
use of the wrong cables may cause interference and impair safety. To avoid distortion or mismatching
that may damage the mixing desk, only connect suitable devices with a corresponding input/output to
the inputs/outputs. For this, observe also the connection values in the section “Technical data”. Cables
are important connection elements in the system. Therefore use high-quality, wear-resistant cables with
high-quality plugs and audio cables with appropriate shielding.
Connecting the Inputs:
When connecting, pay attention to the channel markings CH 1 and CH 2.
•
Connect the audio outputs of your LINE audio source (e.g. CD player, tape, MP3 player) with the
corresponding connection sockets LINE (10) of the mixing desk.
•
One stereo PHONO input is available. You can connect your record player to this stereo RCA
input. If your record player has a separate ground wire, you can connect it to the terminal.
•
Connect your microphone to the microphone input (6).
Connecting the Outputs:
The device has one asymmetrical stereo-RCA output and one symmetrical stereo-XLR output. Connect
the inputs of the downstream audio appliance (e.g. output stage) with the corresponding connection
sockets OUTPUT (11/12) of the mixing desk.
Please make sure to connect only one type of output at a time. Use either the RCA or the XLR
output. If more than one output type is connected at any one time, malfunctions may occur
or the device could be damaged.
Plug the supplied mains cable into the mains connection socket (14) of the mixing desk. Plug the mains
plug of the cable into a mains socket.
•
Turn the level control (2) and the output level control (5) to minimum (left as far as it will go).
•
Switch on you audio source, e.g. CD player, record player etc.
•
Switch on the mixing desk with the ON/OFF switch (1).
•
Switch on the amplifier at last.
•
Start playback on your audio source device.
•
Turn the output level control (5) clockwise to the mid position.
•
Using the level control (2), you can now mix the signals of the various inputs. To do so, slowly
turn the appropriate level control (2) clockwise until you have reached the desired level
•
Raise or reduce the output level of the mixing desk with the output level control (5) , as required.
•
Pay attention to the output level display (3). If the output level is too high (white display lights
up), reduce the output level.
Make sure that the connected loudspeakers and the amplifier are not overloaded. There
should be no distortion during playback, this could damage the amplifier and loudspeakers.
•
If you wish to use the microphone, switch on the microphone switch (7).
•
Use the sound controls (4) to adjust the sound. Please observe that by raising the bass, mids and
treble, you also raise the output level.
•
To switch the mixing desk off, turn the level control (2) and the output level control (5) to mini-
mum (left as far as it will go). Switch off the amplifier first. Switch the mixing desk off with the
ON/OFF switch (1), and then switch off the audio sources.
