Installation:

Be sure to check the unit for damage before using it. Optimally, use the original packaging or

suitable transport or storage packaging to protect the product from dust, moisture, etc. when not
in use.

Equipment and use:

The

FAME MC 10

allows to amplify incoming microphone signals. The front also features a high-

pass switch that filters out footstep/low-frequency noise and a 48V phantom power switch (for

condenser microphones). The connectors are standardized 3-pin XLR sockets. Please read the
following instructions to avoid damage to the device:

Commissioning:

All connections of the device should be made before switching on. Only use high-quality cables

that are as short as possible for the connections.

-

Connect your microphone to the input of the MC10 via the microphone cable
(standard -3pin XLR).

-

Connect the output of the MC10 to the input of a mixer/audio interface or similar via
XLR cable.

-

Only switch on 48V phantom power when using a condenser microphone.

-

Do not turn on 48V phantom power until the unit is fully wired and activated.

-

Turn off 48V phantom power before turning off the unit

Note on operation:

When switching on the

FAME MC 10

, make sure that the gain control is turned to 0 and turn it

up slowly. The Clip LED lights red when the signal is overdriven. Turn down the Gain knob until

the Clip LED stops lighting. When using headphones, it is recommended that you lower the

volume control before turning on the headphones and turn it up slowly. This procedure prevents
hearing damage by not exposing the ear to sudden, extreme/ loud signals.
