Intended use
• This appliance is intended for home use, exclusi-
vely for cooking food.
• Do not install the Teppan Yaki outdoors and do
not expose it to outdoor environment (rain, wind,
etc.).
• Any other use is not admitted.
• The appliance can be used by children over the
age of 8 and by persons with reduced physical,
sensory and mental abilities, or with no experience
or knowledge, as long as they do so under super-
vision or after having received relative instructions
regarding safe use of the appliance and under-
standing of the dangers connected to it.
Children are not to play with the appliance. Cle-
aning and maintenance by the user must not be
carried out by children without supervision.
• Never move away while the Teppan Yaki is working.
Risk of burns
• Use the control lock to prevent unauthorised pe-
ople from switching on the appliance by them-
selves.
• Switch off the cooking zones after use.
• Do not place any metal object on cooking zones
that are on.
• During operation and for at least 2 hours after use,
some parts of the appliance remain very hot! Do
not come into contact with these parts without
adequate personal protection.
• Do not use the appliance as a supporting surface
• Never place objects that are sensitive to heat or
flammable (e.g. pot holders, curtains, alcoholic
containers, etc.) near the appliance
• Do not cover the appliance or parts of it with alu-
minium foil or anything similar
• Never heat up tin cans or airtight containers on
the appliance: the overpressure generated by the
heat could cause them to explode, thereby cau-
sing serious personal damage.
Technical safety
• If the power cable or other components are
damaged, the Teppan Yaki must NOT be used:
disconnect it from the power supply and contact
the Retailer or an authorised Servicing Centre for
repairs.
Do not modify the electrical, mechanical or fun-
ctional structure of the appliance.
Do not personally try to carry out repairs or
replacements. Interventions carried out by in-
competent and unauthorised persons can cau-
se serious damage to the unit or physical and
personal harm, not covered by the Manufactu-
rer's warranty.
The electrical system which the Teppan
Yaki must be connected to must conform
to the safety regulations in the country of use
and fitted with an earthing connection accor-
dingly. It must also conform to European stan-
dards regarding radio anti-disturbance.
• The connection data (voltage and frequency)
shown on the data plate of the Teppan Yaki must
match those of the electric network.
Compare these data before connection.
In case of doubts, refer to an electrician.
• Do not use the Teppan Yaki before installing it.
• It is forbidden to use it on moving appliances.
• Never open the casing of the appliance.
• Falmec assures compliance with the safety stan-
dards only with original spare parts.
• The appliance is not intended for use with an ex-
ternal timer or remote control.
USE WARNINGS
• Before powering the appliance for the first
time, remove any protective films and adhe-
sives.
• Never use water to put fire out. Deactivate the co-
oking area. Choke flames
with a cover, a fireproofing blanket or something
similar.
• Always switch off the Teppan Yaki after use.
• Continuously check the cooking in case of grea-
ses and oils used, as they can easily
catch fire.
• Pay attention not to burn yourself during and
after using the device.
• Electrical cables must not be in contact with the
Teppan Yaki.
• Never place items on the sensor keys and lamps.
• Always keep controls and lamps clean.
• During cooking, use all the precautions to avoid
scratching the cooking plate
