Filling water and Detergent Tanks
To fill the unit with water, open the cap and fill the water tank (fig. 5) with cold tap water. Use a
funnel or other suitable device if necessary. Re-install the reservoir cap when finished
Note:
The hardness of the water should be less than 17.5 grains of hardness (CaCO₃/gal.). If the
water supply hardness is higher than this level, we recommend use of a mixture of water containing
50% tap water and 50% demineralized water.
To fill the detergent tank (fig. 5), follow the same procedure as above for filling water
PLEASE NOTE:
THE CLEAN WATER RESERVOIR MUST ALWAYS BE FILLED WITH WATER - NEVER
ADD DETGERGENT IN THE WATER RESERVOIR.
Use of a detergent in the water tank may seriously
damage the product. If a funnel is used to fill the detergent tank, rinse the funnel under running
water before using it to fill the water tank.
Detergent
Only use steam rated detergents (as defined by the detergent manufacturer). Refer to the label and
instructions provided on the detergent container for dilutions and directions for the use in steamers.
PLEASE NOTE:
Never use foaming or acid-based cleaning agents. These agents may damage the
internal components of the machine. Never use muriatic acid or ammonia-based cleaning agents or
cleaning agents based on products classed as irritants. Use with steam increases the volatility of
such substances, which are harmful when inhaled.
Any warranty claims that result from the use of detergents not conforming to the above indications
will be rejected and the warranty voided.
