4. MAINTENANCE
When you use the steam station with tap
water, descaling is necessary in regular
intervals, in order to maintain proper
functioning for a long time.
The frequency of descaling depends on
both, the hardness of the water and the
frequency of use.
We recommend regular rinsing of the
heating tank in order to eliminate any
residue. Depending on the water used,
descaling may be needed once or twice a
year.
Proceed as follows:
• Fill the boiler with a water-vinegar
solution (75% water and 25% pure white
vinegar).
Caution: Do not use chemicals!
3. Mod PLC-900-T: Screw the cap up,
remembering to press down with
your hand while finishing screwing it
up (fig. 2)
Warning: Before opening the cap, make
sure that there is not pressure inside the
boiler.
How it works with steam
1. Connect the appliance to a suitable
power socket.
2. Press the boiler On/off switch (2)
. It will become lighted.
3. Press the iron On/off switch (4) .
It will become lighted, together with
the "iron ready" light (6).
4. Select the position of the thermostat
knob (7), in the area shown for the
steam, (fig 4), according to the
material which is going to be ironed.
We recommend you to follow the
guidelines shown on the garment’s
label. If there aren’t any instructions,
you will find, in fig. 5, a table guide
to select the right temperature.
5. When the "iron ready" light (6) goes
out, it will be ready to iron.
6. When the "steam ready" (3) will
become lighted, the boiler will be
ready to produce steam.
Note: during the ironing, they will both
become lighted and go out, according to
the temperatures reached by the boiler
and the iron. This is the normal way the
appliance works.
7. In order to spray the steam, press
the button on the iron (5). If no more
steam is required, release the
button.
Mod PLC-900-T
8. This model, has an adjustment steam
button (8), through which you can
control the quantity of steam.
9. Whenever you need steam
continuously, you can block the steam
button, by rolling the steam block
button backwards. This way, you can
use the steam according to your
needs and you don not need to be
pressing it the whole time (fig. 3).
To stop it, roll the same button
forwards (9).
c. To complete the water level in the
boiler
• When the water in the boiler runs out,
the steam spray dries up.
• In the mod PLC-900-T, the light "lack of
water" (10) will come on.
• To fill the boiler, proceed as follows:
1. Switch off the boiler by pressing the
switch (2) . The switch light and
the "steam ready" light (3) will go
out.
2. Discharge any residual steam, by
pressing the steam spray button (5).
3. Switch off the iron, by pressing the
switch (4) . The switch light and
the "iron ready" light (6) will go out.
4. Unplug the appliance and wait for a
few minutes while it cools. Unscrew
the boiler cap (1) and fill it up again,
as shown in the paragraph headed
"Filling the boiler".
Warning: Before opening the cap, make sure
that there is not pressure inside the boiler.
