Silicone seal (8).
To create a vacuum seal,
a silicone seal is placed on the inner edge of
the lid. Never ever use a pressure cooker if
the silicone seal is not correctly fitted or it’s
worn or broken.
Side handle (9).
Provides greater stability
when transporting the pressure cooker.
Pressure cooker handle (10).
Besides being
used to transport the cooker, the cooker hand-
le is also fastened to the lid handle when the lid
is turned clockwise (Fig. 5).
Body (11).
Body manufactured in thick calibre
top quality stainless steel 18/10, and all the coo-
king is done inside the pressure cooker.
Heat diffuser bottom (12).
As the aim of
pressure cookers is to cook quickly, their
base is a heat diffuser bottom comprising 3
layers of metal. Aluminium, one of the fastest
heat conducting metals which distributes
heat evenly is compressed like a ‘sandwich’
between 2 layers of stainless steel. Because
aluminium must not come into contact with
food. The top stainless steel layer provides
aluminium contact with foods and the bot-
tom one contacts the hob, and has magnetic
properties. This characteristic enables its use
on induction hobs.
