, as shown in Fig 6. Unless you
close the lid correctly, the opening button
can’t be moved. Even if you put the cooker
on the hob, the steam will be released.
Lid handle (5).
It’s used to remove the
pressure cooker lid and contains vital com-
ponents for operating of the same. To re-
duce the risk of burns and accidents, the
cooker handle must be facing inwards and
not overhand the edge of the stove or adja-
cent surfaces.
Safety window (6).
Should there be excessi-
ve pressure, the steam will be expelled throu-
gh the safety window cut on the edge of the
lid (Fig. 14). This is a safety mechanism which
is only activated in the event of abnormal use.
Should both valves, i.e. the operating and
safety become locked due to overfilling the
cooker for example, the pressure will expel
the silicone seal and allow pressure to escape
through this window. If this happens, take the
cooker to your nearest

Safety valve (7).
Housed inside the handle
and with access for checking and assembly
from inside the cooker, it acts when there is
excessive pressure and causes constant re-
lease of steam via the cooker handle (Fig.3).
Furthermore, it prevents opening the cooker
while there’s pressure inside. If you notice val-
ve malfunctioning or it’s stopped working take
