Using the Child Safety Lock:
The child safety lock can be used to prevent children from turning the unit on
accidentally, simply to lock the controls in order to avoid inadvertently changing
settings while the unit is operation.
To turn the child lock on. You must press and hold your fi nger on the button for a few
seconds until you hear a beep and the light above the word “lock” turns on. (Note: It
is not suffi cient to simply tap the child lock button, as this will not activate the safety
lock feature.)
While locked, the cooktop will not respond to power or timer changes. When the
CHILD LOCK is on, the only button that will function is the ON/OFF button, to allow
you to turn the unit off in case of an emergency.
To turn the child lock off, tap and hold the button for a few seconds, until you hear a
beep and the light above the word “lock” turns off.
