Resolving Problems of FAB Media Encoder

This chapter describes how to resolve common problems that may occur when
using FAB Media Encoder.
Hardware Problems
“Computer hangs or reboots when FAB Media Encoder program is
started”
When the program is starting hold down the SHIFT or CTRL key. This way no
hardware components will be initialized. Select Options/Setup and change all
settings that are currently set to “Autodetect”. Select the correct hardware that is
installed in the computer.
The Autodetect process may initialize drivers for components which are not
installed and can therefore cause problems. Therefore the Autodetect feature
should be disabled for all hardware components.
