Guide for the installer

Page

If the door has to be operated manually due to a power failure

or a malfunction of the automation system, operate the release

device as follows:

Cut power by means of the safety circuit breaker (even in the

event of a power lack).

From inside (fig. 16)

Insert the hex wrench provided and turn clockwise about half

a turn until the stop is reached.

Depending on the type of installation, the release device

may be on the right (

a

) or left (

b

).

Remove the wrench and move the door manually.

From outside (fig. 17)

Open the safety door and insert the wrench.

Turn  anticlockwise  as  far  as  possible  and  remove  the  lock

unit.

Insert the hex wrench provided and turn anticlockwise about

half a turn until the stop is reached.

Remove the wrench and move the door manually.

9. RETURNING TO NORMAL OPERATION

To prevent an accidental movement from activating the door

during the operation, disconnect the power supply from the

system before locking the operator again.

From inside (fig. 16)

Insert the hex wrench provided and turn anticlockwise about

half a turn until the stop is reached.

Depending on the type of installation, the release device

may be on the right (

a

) or left (

b

).

Remove the wrench

Manually move the door until it stops.

Restore power supply

From outside (fig. 17)

Insert the hex wrench provided and turn clockwise about half

a turn until the stop is reached.

Remove the hex wrench and insert the lock unit.

Turn the wrench clockwise so that it can be removed; close

the safety door again.

Manually move the door until it stops.

Restore power supply

10. MAINTENANCE

To ensure a correct operation and a constant safety level over time

perform, every six months, a general check of the system paying

special attention to the safety devices. The booklet “Instructions

for use” contains a form for the registration of the maintenance

operations.

Every  maintenance  job  or  inspection  performed  by  the

operator  must  only  occur  after  having  cut  power  to  the

system.

11. REPAIRS

The user must not attempt any repair or job and must only and

exclusively  contact  qualified  FAAC  personnel  or  FAAC  service

centres.
