The Meaning of Orientation and Azimuth
There may be some error of the measurement
while using compass in the field where near magnetic
sources (for example, permanent magnet, household
appliances, high-voltage wire, concrete building, and
so on).

Compass Mode
3)Press button[C]/[D]to select “declination” (setting
declination), press button[E]to confirm and enter into
the setting items: turn on/off the declination, declination
trend to east/ west,declination.
4)Press button[C]
/
[D]to revise setting and minus/plus
number.
5) Press button[E]to confirm setting and enter into the
next setting item, or press button[B]to confirm setting
and back to the former item.
Some off-road map indicates geomagnetic north
pole, and you should turn off declination while using
this kinds of map.
You can find the declination on the internet.
8.3. Enter into compass mode
In the time/barometer/altimeter mode, press button
[E]can enter into the compass mode (display the mode
mark about 2 seconds first, then display the result of
measurement).
Press button[B]to exit compass mode and back
to the time mode.
