Getting Started
1.
Download and install the Experia app to your device (smartphone or tablet).
2.
Connect the power supply to the iConvertor.
3.
Connect the power supply to a suitable mains outlet, and switch on.
4.
Wait approx. 30 seconds for the unit to initiate. There will be a flashing yellow LED when the
unit is ready.
5.
On your chosen device, go to settings and then wi-fi.
6.
Choose the network called ‘iConvertor’
7.
The unit may ask for a password, if it does enter ‘experia47iris’.
8.
Now pair the device to any IRiS Listener in the usual way. See the ‘Pairing of IRiS Listeners’
section below.
Please note: Only use the power supply that was supplied with the unit. Use of a different power
supply may result in damage to the product and void the warranty.
Experia IRiS App
The app features a number of switches designed to allow people of all ages and abilities to access
and control IRiS wireless multisensory equipment.
These switches are created to allow a carer to develop the users’ abilities through cause and effect
skills, switching skills, movement and much more.
Each mode has various setting available. Please see below for each mode and setting. When ready
press ‘Start’ to start any switch mode.
The switches include:
a.
Multiple Buttons
– Press a button to control equipment
b.
Single Button
– Press a button to control equipment
c.
Qube
– Move the unit through 3 axis to control equipment
d.
Compass
– Rotate the unit to control equipment
e.
Sound
– Make a noise to control equipment
f.
Vibration
– Shake the unit to control equipment
g.
Scanner Touch
– Control the IRiS Scanner with touch
h.
Scanner Tilt
– Control the IRiS Scanner by tilting the device
i.
RGB Slider
– Choose hundreds of colours using 3 sliders
j.
RGB Colour Wheel
– Choose hundreds of colours using a colour wheel
k.
Voice Recognition
– Say one of the eight main colours
l.
Calming
– Equipment automatically changes colour by itself
