Exiting Switches
To avoid accidentally closing a switch you need to double click on the text ‘Done’ in the top left of
the screen in order for it to exit the active screen and return to the switch menu. If you do not
double click you will see a message saying “Double tap to exit”
Pairing to IRiS Listeners
This procedure is split into 2 sections, one for those who do not have an IRiS Master Pairer and for
those who do.
Without an IRiS Master Pairer
Every IRiS Listener has a button on it called a pairing button. To get a smartphone or tablet to work
with a product, first turn on the smartphone and start the Experia app. Select the Multiple Switches
and Locked mode. Next, find the pairing button on the product you wish to control and press it. You
then need to press one of the coloured buttons on the app within 5 seconds. The IRiS Listener will
now change colour every time you activate the smartphone in question, regardless of the mode, if
correctly paired.
With an IRiS Master Pairer
To get a smartphone or tablet to work with a product, first turn on the iPad and start the Experia
app. Select the Multiple Switches and Locked mode. Next, find the pair button for the product you
wish to use on the Master Pairer and press it. You then need to press one of the coloured buttons on
the app within 5 seconds. The IRiS Listener will now change colour every time you activate the
smartphone in question, regardless of the mode, if correctly paired.
Controller Group Settings
The iConvertor has a controller group setting. The controller group setting allows you to select which
out of 4 different groups of IRiS Listeners you wish this your Apple™ device to control. By default,
this is set to control group 1. To change the group, choose general settings from the home screen of
the Experia app.
Note:
when changing the control group, you will need to re-pair the device to any IRiS listener.
When using the control group setting, it is possible to have up to 4 Apple™ devices controlling up to
4 IRiS Listener groups simultaneously through just one IRiS iConvertor. It is also possible to have
more than one device connected to the same control group.
