Procedures
Raising the Seat
Place the motion control levers out to the neutral
lock position, engage the parking brake, and lift the
seat forward.
The following components can be accessed by raising
the seat:
•
Serial plate
•
Service decal
•
Seat adjustment bolts
•
Fuel filter
•
Battery and battery cables
Periodic Maintenance
Lubrication
Greasing the Bearings
Service Interval: Every 25 hours/Monthly
(whichever comes first)
Grease Type: NLGI grade #2 multi-purpose gun
grease.
Grease the front caster wheels (Figure 26).

Park the machine on a level surface and disengage
the blade control switch.
2.
Move the motion control levers out to the neutral
lock position, engage parking brake, stop the
engine, remove the key, and wait for all moving
parts to stop before leaving the operating position.
3.
Clean the grease fittings with a rag. Make sure to
scrape any paint off of the front of the fitting(s).
4.
Wipe up any excess grease.
Engine Maintenance
Important:
If you are using a machine with
an Exmark engine above 5,000 ft (1500 m) for a
continuous period, ensure that the High Altitude
Kit has been installed so that the engine meets
CARB/EPA emission regulations. The High
Altitude Kit increases engine performance while
preventing spark fouling, hard starting, and
increased emissions. Once you have installed
the kit, attach the high-altitude label next to
the serial decal on the machine (reference
