Plug the mains lead of the speaker into a wall socket to charge the battery. The battery must be
charged for 48 hours before initial use. The charging indicator (12) indicates as follows:
• Red: The battery is almost flat. Charge the battery.

ready to be paired with other Bluetooth devices.
3. Activate Bluetooth on the device to be paired with the speaker.
4. The speaker will appear on your device as “
BX850
”, select it and pair it with your device.
Once contact has been established, the Bluetooth indicator will begin flashing slowly.
5. Start playback on your external Bluetooth device. Adjust the master volume (5) on the speaker
and the volume on the external device. In order to be able to play loud music on the speaker,

Note:
If you have connected a mobile phone to the speaker via Bluetooth and receive a call
whilst you are listening to music, the music will be switched off automatically. Once the call has
been ended, music playback will be resumed (if your phone settings enable this).

1. Connect the Line-in socket (9) to the audio output of the external device using an audio cable.
2. Switch the speaker on and press [ SOURCE ] (2). The Line-in indicator LED (7) will shine
