Troubleshooting guide
The radio won’t turn on. • Make sure that the mains adapter and lead are intact and undamaged.
• Make sure that the mains adapter and its lead are properly
connected to a wall socket and the radio.
• Is the wall socket energised?
No sound from
the speakers or
connected headphones.
• Check the volume.
• Make sure that there are no headphones connected
to the 3.5 mm headphone socket. When you connect
the headphones, the speaker turns off.
• Make sure that the headphones and cord are intact and properly
connected to the radio.
No sound from
connected external
device.
• Make sure that the correct audio source has been chosen.
• Check the volume level on both the radio and the connected device.
If using Bluetooth:
• Make sure that the Bluetooth connection has been properly
established.
• Test the playback from the Bluetooth device without it being
connected to the radio to ensure that it is working.
Things to consider:
• Other wireless equipment can negatively impact
the transmission range.
• The range can also be affected by the type of obstacles located
between the transmitter and the receiver (e.g. a concrete wall
will interfere with the signal more than a plasterboard wall).
If using the AUX IN socket:
• Check that the cable connected to the device and the AUX IN
(19) socket on the radio is undamaged and properly connected.
• Check that the correct audio source has been chosen (Auxiliary
Input).
Poor or non-existent radio
reception. The auto-
matic FM scan doesn’t
work.
• Make sure that the aerial is fully extended.
• Try moving the aerial.
• Move the radio to another location.
The time and date are
cleared when the radio
is switched off.
• The radio only stores the time and date during mains operation.
Upon reception of a DAB or RDS signal, the time is set
automatically.
If the radio is operating
abnormally in some
other way.
• Perform a factory reset. Refer to the
DAB/FM menu
section.
