To clean the tape drive:

Set the library’s control mode to Remote (see

Click on Maintenance at the top of the page.

Click on Run individual tape drive commands.

Click on Clean a tape drive. A page similar to
appears.

Click on the radio button next to the drive you want to clean. (D1 is the tape
drive closest to the fixed slots; D2 is located directly to the right of D1.)

Click on the Clean button. The robot places the cleaning tape in the tape
drive. After the cleaning is finished, the robot returns the cleaning tape to
its slot.

When finished, return the library to its original control mode.
Unloading a Tape Drive
Under normal circumstances, cartridges are automatically unloaded (ejected)
from the tape drive(s). However, if a tape drive problem occurs that requires
intervention, you may need to unload a cartridge by issuing a command to the
drive.
To unload a tape drive:

If the tape drive ejects the cleaning cartridge immediately after
loading it, you need to replace the cleaning cartridge. To order
