Step 1:
To Enter the Programming Mode:
Note:
The digital read-out may alternate between the time of day and the days remaining before the next automatic backwash on
newer digital valves after May 2008.
Note:
Larger valves with greater flow rates make a mechanical noise that is noisy and normal. Adjust time of backwashing to
a time that may not disturb any residents. Caution to make sure pressure is limited to 65psi and the installation
including the drain application is correct.
Backwash takes 30 minutes to complete a full cycle. Factory pre-set for every 3 days with a maximum backwash flow
of 18 minutes during the total 30 minute cycle. System is on a bypass and not filtering during the backwash cycle.
Two or more units in an application must be set an hour apart to begin backwash cycles.
Step 6:
To Exit the Programming Mode: Push “Recycle” button once to resume normal operation.
Indicator will appear lit by Service. The time of day will appear in the read-out.
ADJUSTING THE BACKWASH SETTINGS
Step 2:
When the program mode is entered, the display should read, “12:00”.
(“1:00 am for Iron) This is the Time of Backwash.
Step 3:
Push “Up” or “Down” button to change the time of day which
starts the Automatic Backwash Cycles.

Push and Hold, the “Up” and “Down” buttons together for 5 seconds
or until the digital read-out changes.
Program light will appear in lower left corner. Follow the steps below to make your adjustments.
Note: whether or not the “P.M.” indicator is lit, indicating the proper time
of day for the Automatic Backwash Setting.
Resetting Time to Start Backwash Cycles
Step 4:
“A - - - 3” should appear as the Factory Pre-Set. This is the
frequency of the backwash set for every 3 days.
Step 5:
Push “Up” or “Down” button to change the frequency the
system will automatically backwash.
Note: “A - - - 3” is the factory/normal setting, reset up to 10 for
vacation or extended leaves of absence. (minimum 2; maximum 10)
Remember to manually backwash and then re-set to 3 upon return.
Before beginning, make sure Service indicator light is lit. If the Indicator is flashing the automatic backwash is set to
begin that day. You must simply advance the current time by pressing the “Up” Button until the system goes into
backwash. Once backwash cycle is complete or advanced through, then you may begin the following procedures:
