CAN interface
The CAN interface is used to connect the system to the CAN
membrane sensor:
The CAN interface of the SFC BA is not electrically isolated. To
connect the CAN sensor, the SFC BA has three terminals as well
as a terminating resistor Rt and the balancing resistors Ru and Rd.
The CAN bus is wired as a two-wire bus. To provide power to the
CAN sensors, the CAN bus cable also carries the operating
voltage (24 V DC).
The connecting cable provided (part no. W2T505642) can be used
to plug the CAN sensor directly in to the system.
The bus master in the segment is responsible for controlling the
communication. The SFC BA is the bus master.
The CAN membrane sensor connected to it is the CAN slave.
