Unpacking and moving the refrigerator
WARNING
Move the refrigerator with two or more people. Back injuries or other injuries might otherwise occur.
Remove the tape and labels from your refrigerator before using it (except for the data plate). Rub any tape or glue that is left
firmly with your thumb to remove it. You can also remove tape or glue residue easily by rubbing the glue with a little washing
liquid on your fingers. Rinse it off with warm water and dry the refrigerator. Do not use sharp instruments, alcohol, flammable
liquids or abrasives to remove tape or glue. These products can damage the surface of your refrigerator. Make sure that the
refrigerator is in an upright position when it is moved. Never allow the refrigerator to tilt more than 45 degrees.
Cleaning before use
Clean the interior of your refrigerator with soda and lukewarm water after you have removed all packaging materials, before
putting the refrigerator into use.
Safety regulations
WARNING
Keep flammable materials and vapors, such as petrol, away from the refrigerator. Serious injuries might otherwise occur.
Ensure that your refrigerator is well ventilated, with at least 20 cm of space on each side between the walls, 10 cm
between the back of your refrigerator and the wall, and 30 cm between the bench top and the roof or ceiling.
If you place the refrigerator next to a solid wall, allow sufficient space on the hinge side for the door to open.
Never put your refrigerator close to heat sources or in direct sunlight.
WARNING
•
Do not remove the earthed plug.
•
Do not use an adapter.
•
Do not use an extension cord.
•
Not following these instructions can result in serious consequences.
•

Recommended connection
The refrigerator may only be connected to a properly earthed socket. A properly earthed power supply of 220/240 Volt / 50
Hz AC with only a 10 ampere fuse is required. The use of a separate fuse for this appliance is recommended. Use a socket
outlet that cannot be switched off with a switch or pull.
NOTE
When you install or clean the refrigerator, or remove or replace the light, turn the thermostat to OFF and disconnect the
power supply from the appliance. When you are ready, reconnect the refrigerator and set the thermostat to the desired
setting.
