Quick Reference
Setup
1. Click on the
Login
icon to login in as an administrator. The factory default
Login
for an administrator is
admin
. The factory default
Password
for an
administrator is
admin
.
2. Click on the
System Time
in order to change to your local time. The Date
format is in YYYY/MM/DD. The Time format is in Military Time.
3. Click on the
Configure
icon to setup the system.
a. Change
the
Time Type,
Day Type, and Calendar Type
menus to
correspond to the way in which you want your system to run.
b. Setup
the
Alarm Action, Motion Action, Vloss Action, and HDD’s Full
Action
menus specific to your application.
(
NOTE
: Defaults set within the system are set to the standards of most
applications.)
c. Setup
the
Camera
menu for those cameras installed to the system. Setup
Behaviors For Each Camera
submenu to modify how the camera should
act in regards to different applications. Setting the
Compression Method
to
JPEG
quality provides a better picture quality but it uses up more hard
drive space. Setting the
Compression Method
to
MPEG
quality provides
a lower picture quality but uses less hard drive space.
Normal
Recording
rate is for normal situation recording and
Alarm Recording
rate is when some form of alarm or motion happens.
d. Setup
the
Alarm Inputs and Alarm Outputs
to match up with those
required by your application.
e. Setup
the
Display Sequences and Display Pages
to change the camera
and text color in each video window for your applications.
f. To
setup
Motion
detection simple click on the
Motion
menu. The defaults
set within the system are set to standard motion detection, which should be
standard for most applications. The recording frame rate is not influenced
by motion detection for the DVR.
g. Click
the
Set Password
menu to setup a new password and keep the
password in a safe place.
4. Once you have completed the step provided above click the
Exit
menu and restart
the system for those new settings to take effect.
