CLEANING:
Cleaning the dust Collector Grid
:
1. Before cleaning it, always unplug the unit.
2. Remove the collector grid then pull it from the side of the unit.
3. Wipe the dust from each of the three collector plates, use a slightly
damp towel or sponge. Mild cleaning detergent such as Windex can
be used if the plate surface is coated with smoke or sticky polluted
particles.
Note: The outside plates will usually look very clean. Only the inside
between plates will collect dust. This is normal and that is the way it is
designed. There is nothing wrong with the machine if the outside
plates look clean and not collecting any dust.
GERMICIDAL UV LAMP REPLACEMENT:
Finger grease will reduce the germicidal performance of the UV
lamp. DO NOT touch the UV bulb with fingers. Wear gloves or
use a piece of cloth. If you touch the lamp or need to clean it for
any reason, wipe it with a paper towel dampened with alcohol or
any mild cleaning detergent.
1. To unlock the back cover, press the locking tab and open the
cover. Remove the back cover by lifting it up and out.
2. Turn the lamp 1/4 and slide it out from its fixture. Replace with
a new lamp of the same type.
Note: The unit will not function while the collector grid is removed
and/or the germicidal lamp cover is open.
