Before Initial Use

1.  Check the items supplied for completeness (see the “Items 

Supplied” chapter) and possible transport damage. If you 

fi

 nd 

any damage to the device or accessories, do not (!) use the 
components, but contact our customer service department.

2.  Charge up the battery fully so that it reaches its full capacity 

(see the “Charging Up the Battery” chapter).

Charging Up the Battery

1.  Insert the Mini B connector of the USB cable into the Mini USB 

input (

9

) on the main device and connect the A connector to a 

suitable adapter:

 

Car charger (supplied with the device)

 

USB mains adapter (not supplied with the device)

2.  Plug the adapter into a cigarette lighter or an easily accessible 

socket.
The control lamp (

) lights up red during the charging process. 

When the control lamp goes out, the battery is fully charged.

3.  Pull the adapter out of the cigarette lighter or the socket.
4.  Pull the USB cable away from the main device.

Use

1. 

Assembly – 

Slide the attachment clip (

) from above into the 

holder on the back of the main device.

2. 

Attaching in the car

 

 Secure the main device to the sun visor 

using the attachment clip.

3. 

Switching on – 

Hold down the 

 button (

) for approx. 7 sec-

onds to switch on the device. You will hear three ascending 
beeps and the control lamp (

 y.

You will then hear two more beeps and the control lamp will 

fl

 ash alternately blue and red. The device is in pairing mode.

4. 

Pairing –

 The device automatically searches for a mobile 

phone. The device is displayed to the mobile phone (Bluetooth

®

 

menu) as the 

EASYmaxx car kit

.

As soon as the device is paired with the mobile phone, you hear 
another beep and the control lamp slowly 

fl

 ashes blue.

If before the device was switched on a mobile phone was 
already connected to it, the device automatically pairs with 
the mobile phone if it is located nearby. This also applies if 
two mobile phones were paired (see the “Additional Func-
tions” chapter).

5. 

Accepting / rejecting a call –

 When there is an incoming call, 

press the 

 button to accept the call. Hold down the 

 but-

ton for approx. 3 seconds to reject the call. You will hear two 
beeps.

6. 

Setting the volume

 

 Press the 

+

 button (

) or 

– button

 (

) to 

increase or reduce the volume.

7. 

Ending a call – 

During a call, press the 

 button to end the 

call.

Activating pairing mode – 

Hold down the 

 button for ap-

prox. 4 seconds to activate pairing mode. You will then hear two 
beeps and the control lamp will

 ash alternately blue and red. 

Another mobile phone can then be paired or the device can be 
switched off.

Switching off –

 Perform step 8. Then hold down the 

 button 

for approx. 7 seconds to switch off the device. You will hear three 
descending beeps and the control lamp goes out.

10. 

Cleaning

 – Dust off the device with a soft, dry cloth to clean it. 

More intense soiling can be wiped off with a damp cloth.

11. 

Storage –

 Store the device in a dry place that is protected from 

sunlight and is not accessible to children and animals when you 
are not using it.

Additional Functions

• Pressing 

the 

MUTE

 button (

) during a call will mute the micro-

phone (

). If you press the 

MUTE

 button again, the microphone 

is reactivated.

•  During a call, hold down the 

MUTE

 button for approx. 2 sec-

onds to switch the call from the device to the mobile phone. 
Hold down the 

MUTE

 button again for approx. 2 seconds to 

switch the call back to the device. A beep sounds to provide 
con

fi

 rmation in each case.

•  The device can be paired with two mobile phones simultane-

ously:

 

Pair the 

fi

 rst mobile phone to the device in the manner 

described in the “Use” chapter.

 

To pair the second mobile phone, activate pairing mode on 
the device (see the “Use” chapter).

 

Pair the second mobile phone to the device in the same way 
as the 

fi

 rst. This will disconnect the 

fi

 rst mobile phone.

 

Pair the 

fi

 rst mobile phone to the device again by selecting 

the device on the Bluetooth

®

 menu of the mobile phone.

•  The device is equipped with an automatic switch-off feature. If 

the device has not been paired with a mobile phone and is not 
used for approx. 5 minutes, it switches off automatically.

Disposal

Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally 
friendly manner and take it to a recycling centre.
Dispose of the device in an environmentally friendly manner 
at a recycling centre for used electrical and electronic 
devices. It should not be disposed of alongside general 
household waste. More information is available from your 
local authorities.
The battery should be removed prior to disposal of the 
device and disposed of separately. To protect the environ-
ment, non-rechargeable and rechargeable batteries must 
not be disposed of with normal household waste, but must 
be taken to suitable collection points. Also note the relevant 
statutory regulations governing the disposal of batteries.

Removing the Battery

Slide open the battery compartment cover in the direction of the 
arrow and remove it. Remove the battery.
