3.4.1  CIRCUIT BOARDS (Cont.)

FITTING THE CIRCUIT BOARD GUIDE EXTENSION
(1/2 BOARD SUPPORT BD249646)

Slide the square nut into the slot in the extension
board guide. Fit the extension board guide, securing
it with the  M3 x 10mm screw provided .

Fit polarising keys as shown in table 3.4.1d

Set any DIP switches and links as shown on tables 3.4.1a to
3.4.1c.
Fit the option board(s) to the relevant slot(s) and connect the
necessary flexi cables (conductive (shiny) surface uppermost)
such that:

Option board 1 is connected to the PSU and either op-
tion board 3 (if fitted) or to the input board (as shown).

Option board 2 (if fitted) is connected to the PSU and to
option board 4 (if fitted)

9c

Option board 3 (if fitted) is connected to option board 1 and to the input board

9d

Option board 4 (if fitted) is connected to option board 2.

Figure 3.4.1a, above, shows a full set of option boards and their flexi cables for guidance.

10. If previously removed, re-fit the plastic covers over the PSU connector slots, securing them with plastic rivets.
11. Re-fit the board retainer and the insulating sheet
12. Re-fit the recorder to the case.

At the rear of the recorder, remove the relevant blanking plates
(BA249715) and push-fit the connectors (CI249643) until they
click into place.
Figure shows process for option boards 1 and 2;  the process is
similar for option boards 3 and 4.

Clip the screwdriver guide (BD249872) into place and fit the
appropriate label to the connector(s) (LA247993 (23 to 44) for
the middle connector; LA247994 (45 to 66) for the top
connector)
