3.3.2 Battery board replacement

Disconnect connector D, then remove the back-plate, by
undoing screws E (four at the rear of the recorder and one
inside the recorder).

Pass connector D through the back-plate grommet.
Disconnect connector F. Remove the SBC and the back-
plate together and place them in a static safe area.
The battery board can now be replaced if required.

Battery board (AH249860) replacement
If required, the battery board can now be replaced as follows:
a.
Disconnect the battery connector from the battery board.
b.
Remove the battery board by undoing its two securing screws.
c.
Fit the new board using the two screws previously removed, ensuring that the
harness is retained between the board and the back plate.
Notes:
1. The battery is a NiCad type and should be disposed of according to local regulatory requirements
2. Do not allow either the old or the new board to come into contact with the metal back-plate or other metal
surface.
3. Configuration, trace history etc. are retained in Flash memory during this process. Time/date and accu-
mulated values of totalisers, counters and other maths functions (if fitted) are not retained.
