Beware! Although the PD1500 terrace radiator is splash proof, it should not be
used in the rain or under very humid conditions. Store in a dry place indoors after
use, and do not leave it standing outside at night!
Safety device
The PD1500 terrace radiator is equipped with a failsafe device, which switches off
the device should it fall, in spite of all safety measures. Should this happen,
immediately remove the plug from the socket and move the switch to ‘off’.
Check the terrace radiator closely for damage and have the device sent for
repair/checking by your supplier or a certified electrician. Do not continue to use
the device if you notice any damage! If you do not notice any damage, you can
resume operation with care. Keep a close eye on the terrace radiator for the first
quarter of an hour to check that no disturbances occur. If they do, immediately
disconnect it and contact your supplier or electrician.
Cleaning & maintenance
Cleaning
Before cleaning remove the plug from the power outlet and wait until the appliance
is sufficiently cooled off. Wipe the appliance only with a clean and lint-free cloth or
a soft brush. You can use a moist (not wet!) cloth with a rather mild cleaning
product. Ensure that the lamp is fully dry before you return it to operation! Never
use abrasive cleaners, scrubbing brushes and chemical cleaners for cleaning! Never
use flammable cleaners such as benzene or spiritius. Give the appliance time to dry
before you use it again. To protect against electrical shock and danger of life, do
not immerse cord, plug or any part of the appliance in water or other liquid. make
sure that no moisture penetrates the heater.
Maintenance
There are no parts in the PD1500 terrace radiator that require maintenance or that
can be replaced/repaired by the user. In addition, the device cannot be opened by
an unqualified person. The replacement of the lamp must also be carried out by a
certified electrician or by a service station indicated for this purpose, with a view to
guaranteeing safety. Any damage as a result of repairs carried out on or changes
made to the device by unqualified persons, or as a result of accidents, misuse,
negligence, incorrect/insufficient maintenance and commercial use may invalidate
the warranty.
