Turn the control button to the lowest setting and leave the patio heater to burn for five
minutes. You can then turn the control button to the desired setting: LO=minimum, HI =
maximum.
If the burner flame accidentally goes out or is blown out by the wind, turn the heater off and
allow at least 5 minutes for the gas to evaporate before you ignite the device again. This is to
prevent explosions.
Note!
During use, the flame must be blue with a little yellow point. If the flames are jutting out more
than 5 centimetres above the surface of the flame screen, or black soot is collecting on the
screen, the heater must be switched off immediately. The heater may not be used again until
the defect has been repaired.
The flame screen will discolour slightly as a result of use; this is perfectly normal.
TURNING THE PATIO HEATER OFF
Turn the control button to PILOT setting.
Press the control button in and turn to OFF.
Close the valve on the gas bottle completely.
WARNINGS
The entire gas system must be checked for leaks.
Make a visual check of the hose regularly for wear and tear, cracks, breaks and bends. Replace
the hose when necessary with a new one that fulfils the relevant requirements. Replace it every
three years.
Regularly check the ventilation openings for the burner and stand for contamination and
blockages; clean them if necessary.
Allow the heater to cool down before moving or clearing it away!
Always keep a fire extinguisher handy when using the device!
STORAGE
Check that the gas supply on the gas bottle is closed properly.
Remove the gas regulator and the gas bottle hose.
Check the gas bottle for damage and the regulator for a perfect connection. If you notice
damage or any other issues, change the gas bottle with your gas supplier.
Never keep a gas bottle in a cellar; always keep it in a room with good ventilation, outside the
reach of children. The connectors must be properly closed off with a screw-top.
Store the patio heater, without gas bottle, in a dry, dust-free and safe area.If possible, use the
original packaging materials to protect the device during storage!
Always store the patio heater clean and ensure that it is dust and dirt free when you wish to
use it again.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Clean the smooth surfaces with a soft cloth and a little steel cleaning product. Never use
Regularly remove all dirt, spiders and insects from the ventilation openings with a brush or
compressor.
If soot forms, you can remove the reflector and the safety grille and clean the flame screen
with a mild, soapy solution.
