Things to know
Before any installation, it is of the highest importance to know the general
characteristics of the environment of the cooling unit. It is necessary to take into
account the volume of the wine cellar, the thickness and insulation of the walls, door,
ground and ceiling, ventilation and size of the adjacent room.
A perfect insulation is of prime importance to obtain the best performances from the
INOA unit.
A lack or an absence of insulation multiplies by 3 the power necessary to air-cool the
same volume and it increases electric consumption. The traditional materials of
construction such as stone, concrete or brick are very bad insulators and only the walls
in the earth represent a suitable natural insulation easily.
It is thus essential, in the majority of cases, to envisage the insulation of the whole
cellar to be air-cooled.
