Operating Instructions
Transponder-Coded Safety Switch CTM-LBI-BR
EN
6.6.
Guard locking on version CTM-LBI
(guard locking actuated by spring force and released by power-ON)
Activating guard locking:
close guard; no voltage at control input IMP.
Releasing guard locking:
apply voltage to control input IMP.
The spring-operated guard locking functions in accordance with the closed-circuit current principle. If the voltage is interrupted
at the solenoid, the guard locking remains active and the guard cannot be opened directly.
If the guard is open when the power supply is interrupted and is then closed, guard locking remains released. This prevents
people from being locked in unintentionally.
Important!
Malfunctions due to incorrect use.
Ì
The actuator must not be under tensile stress during release.
Ì
Very strong jolts or vibration can cause the guard locking state to change unintentionally. This gen-
erally applies when the switch is electrically isolated.
-The switch must not be used as a mechanical end stop.
-In case of heavy doors, ensure that the impact energy is cushioned on closing.
