ADJUSTING THE PAN AND TILT LIMIT
SWITCHES
CAUTION:
Manual operation of the pan and tilt head will cause
irreparable damage to the internal mechanism.
When changing the pan and tilt functions ensure that the camera
assembly is not allowed to hit any obstructions.
The factory preset settings for the switches are suitable for most
installations and should not need to be re-adjusted. Any re-adjustments
must be carried out after the system has been fully installed.
NOTE:
The center position of the pan and tilt head relative to the limit
switches is denoted by a black spot on the base flange.
HORIZONTAL AXIS (PAN ANGLE)
The limit stops are small blocks located on a black disc above the
mounting flange of the unit. The default factory setting is 85 degrees
each side of center and the maximum sweep is 100 degrees. To re-set
the angle:
1. Use a 1.5mm hexagon wrench to release the grub screws of each
stop.
2. Reposition the stops to the required angle.
3. Secure the stops by re-tightening the grub screws.
VERTICAL AXIS (TILT ANGLE)
The pan and tilt head has a large knurled cap on each side. The left-
hand cap (as viewed from the rear of the camera) enables adjustments
to be made to the tilt angle. The default factory settings are +10 and –70
from horizontal (maximum tilt). To adjust the tilt angle:
1. Unscrew the left hand cap, as viewed from the rear of the camera
assembly, to reveal a number of M3 tapped holes.
2. Remove the M3 screws, repositioned them into the required tapped
holes and secure the screws.
3. Replace the cap.
