Install the piston pin with new pin clips. 

•

 

Do not align the piston pin clip end gap with the piston 
cutout. 

 

NOTE: Do not allow the clip to fall into the crankcase. 
 
 

 
 
 
 
 
 

6.5 Cylinder Installation  

 

Clean any gasket material from the crank case surface. 

 
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the gasket surface. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Install the dowel pins and a new gasket.  
 
 
 

Base Gasket: Part # 811586 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Coat the cylinder bore and piston rings with engine oil and 
install the cylinder. 

 
NOTE: Be careful to not damage the cylinder wall 
surface when installing the piston rings.  Use a 
screwdriver to hold the cam chain tightly.  

Do not
