OPERATING CERAMIC HOB
Switching on and settings
The four cooking zones on the glass work surface are indicated with
circles. The diameter of the pan bottom must be as similar to the
diameter of the cooking zone as possible. A symbol next to the control
knob indicates which cooking zone is being operated.
Switching on and off
1. Place a pan on a cooking zone.
2. Turn the control knob to the desired position.
The cooking zone heats up.
▷
You can turn the control knob either clockwise or anticlockwise.
▷
The cooking zones have 6 available heat settings.
▷
The cooking zone automatically switches on and off to supply
the power you have set. At lower settings, the cooking zone
mostly stays off and switches on occasionally. At higher settings,
the cooking zone mostly stays on and switches off occasionally.
3. Turn the knob to ‘0’ to switch off the cooking zone.
Please note
• Never let an empty pan stand on a cooking zone that is switched
on. While the hotplate is protected and will switch itself off, the pan
will be extremely hot. The pan could be damaged.
• Do not use pans that are smaller than the cooking zone. This avoids
the possibility of spilled food getting onto the glowing hot cooking
zone. Burnt-on spilled food is difficult to remove.
Residual heat indicator
Residual heat is indicated with a light for each cooking zone on the
glass cooktop. This indicates that the cooking zone is still warm and
goes out once the glass cooktop has reached a safe temperature.
