7.4 – LEVEL CONTROL
The dosing pump is supplied with level control setting and upon request floating level switch. When the level
of the additive is lower than the switch, level alarm and yellow led are ON: the pump is OFF. The level control
alarm goes ON with 5 seconds delay.

7.5 – COMMISSIONING THE PUMP
A.  Install the metering pump as described in Chapter 3.0 “INSTALLATION”.
B.  Place the electrode in the electrode holder.
C.  Connect the electrode to the metering pump by means of a male BNC connector, rotating it through 90°.
D.  Powering the pump, on the display will appear the software release (e.g. A 1), which shows the updated soft-

ware version. After a while the pump goes in measuring mode and it is ready to work.

E.  The manual flow setting is made with RIGHT and LEFT buttons (1 and 3), by setting the frequency injec-

tions from 0 to 100% the maximum flow rate of the pump.

F.  Dip the Rx probe into the buffer solution (e.g. 475 mV) and push the CAL button, the red led “ZERO” will

start flashing to indicate the zero regulation probe.

G.  Adjust with the RIGHT and LEFT buttons the value indicated on the display until reading the value of the

buffer solution. To finish the calibration procedure press the CAL button.

If during the calibration operation no button is pushed for 60 seconds the pump will automatically goes back to
measuring mode.

7.6 – SET POINT REGULATION
To adjust the setpoint push SET button, the red led PULSE will start flashing, on the display will appear the pre-
vious set value, adjust with RIGHT and LEFT buttons the required value. Push the SET button to confirm and
the pump will go into the hysteresys programming.
The pump shows the value previously set e.g. 00H (hysteresys ± 1mV), by using RIGHT and LEFT buttons it’s
possible to modify this parameter with steps of 10mV. Push the SET button to confirm the choose, the pump goes
to the delay time setting.
The display shows the value of the delay in seconds related to the activation or disactivation of the set point from
the moment the reading value passes across the setpoint (e.g. d02 = 2 seconds delay). Push the SET button to
confirm. The pump will go in measuring mode.

7.7 – OXIDATIVE OR REDUCING DOSING
The Rx/M
metering dosing pump can control the Rx level dosing oxidative or reductive chemical to reduce or
increase Rx. F1 function allows to select the required type of intervention (oxidative or reductive). If user has to
dose an oxidative liquid to increase mV, he will select F1D, otherwise dosing reductive liquid select F1A.

7.8 – PROPORTIONAL FUNCTIONING
The F2 function disactivated (F2D) allows a manual ON/OFF control, while F2 activated (F2A) a proportional con-
trol. With F2A the pump actives a regulation of the pulses proportional to the set point. For example if the set
point is 400 mV and the reading is 300 mV the pump works at the maximum frequency (the user can always
modify the percentage of the flow by acting on the RIGHT and LEFT buttons 0-100%). The pump will work at
full frequency until 400 mV (difference from the set point 300 mV), after this point will start regulating the puls-
es by reducing until completly stopping when the set point is reached. If user activates F3 it’s possible to reduce
the measuring range (from 250 to 125 mV).

7.9 – FUNCTIONS
The functions programming, enabled or disabled by the user, allows to the pump to change some settings which
make the pump suitable for a lot of applications. In this paragraph it’s explained the way to set the functions
with a brief description, for further information please look the respective paragraph
